I just wanted to take time this Mother’s Day to honor my late mother. She was a wonderfully loving, kind, generous, and Mega-Stylish mother who taught me how to be a godly woman and how to look my best. She always stressed the importance of treating others like I wanted to be treated, which has proven to be sage advice.

I believe she was a woman after God’s own heart. I witnessed firsthand how she sacrificed many years of her life caring for her own bed-ridden mother when I was coming of age. So many of the things she taught me by example are helping me navigate life successfully, and I hope I’m continuing to do life as she would have wanted — with class!

I’m PRAISING the Lord today for the mother I had and for making me a mother — hopefully, one after God’s own heart.
