As the new year gets underway, people all over the world are thinking about their resolutions and undoubtedly making plans for what they hope to accomplish in 2024.  To be honest, I’m placing my hopes and dreams for this new year in the Lord’s hands.  He was faithful in 2023, so He’ll be faithful in 2024 and for years to come.  He’s not like me, a mere human, who makes mistakes and sometimes falls short on my promises to people.  He’s the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and as such I’m seeking His plan for me and believing for His best. 

The Lord, in His goodness, mercy and lovingkindness, has even given me a glimpse of His plan for me as He says in His Word “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jer. 29:11, NIV). God’s Word, which was true thousands of years ago, is still true today.
